There are other creative ways you can memorialize your loved one using their ashes. Notably unique examples include having a portion of ashes made into a jewelry stone, launching your loved one's ashes into space, or placing the ashes into a manmade reef. If you come up with several ideas for the way you'd like to handle your loved one's remains, you don't have to choose just one. You can divide the ashes into portions and do separate things with each portion. For example, you could keep a portion of remains in a keepsake, scatter some in a beautiful place, bury more in a nearby cemetery, and send the rest into space.
