3D-printed cremation urns from In the Light Urns are made from gypsum powder, which we transform into durable solid pieces. Through binder jet 3D printing, liquid binding material is dispensed into a gypsum powder bed in layers that stack and harden to create a print. After the original print is finished, we coat it with a hardener and sand it down to a smooth finish before painting the urn by hand, leaving the finished product sturdy and lasting.
